DCE Training Statement

The goal of training and staff development at DCE is to enhance the professional skills and knowledge of all classified employees and to provide them with tools and resources that help them to be successful in their work.

DCE makes every attempt to provide regular training opportunities that address both employee and supervisory perceptions of need.

Training needs are identified through periodic needs-assessment surveys and through learning goals identified during the performance appraisal process.

DCE employees who are licensed by the Department of Education are required to participate in a minimum of 40 hours of approved training each year.
